Mahamed J. from Sudan
We are very pleased to welcome international patients from all over the world in Berlin and would like to introduce some of them and their histories on this page.
As Mahamed J., born 1982 in Sudan. The young man lives as well in Sudan as in the United States and was an avid football player in Dallas, Texas. Until that day in 2001, when he had a sporting accident and tore his cruciate ligament. Although he underwent surgery in the U.S. the businessman was plagued with knee pain for years. A normal, pain-free life seemed no longer possible. He started to search for a solution to his health problems on the Internet and came across PGD International in Berlin. His family doctor in Sudan has confirmed the international reputation of Prof. Dr. Wolf Petersen, chief physician at the Clinic of Orthopedics and Traumatology at Martin Luther Hospital as one of the best doctors in Germany. Mahamed J. then not only saw the pictures of the people at the International Office of PGD biut was also able to communicate with Ms. Meradhni in Arabic. That resulted in quickly arranging a date for an operation in Berlin. A day after his arrival he was operated by Professor Petersen and his team. He is now pain-free and feels very well. Mahemed J. Says: "I want to thank all employees here at the clinic and in the International Office. Without the service they offer, everything would have been much more complicated - I have no friends in Germany and do not speak the language. The International Office was also able to help me when my visa expired. That is a perfect service. Everyone here is friendly and competent. Fortunately, I had let myself in into this 'adventure'. Thank you everyone." Our patient is married and has a young daughter. Understandably his wish is great. "I'm looking forward of being able to play with my daughter without pain and do sports again. It was a very good decision to come to Berlin."
