Million visitors at the 41st Berlin Marathon.


“Dennis Kimetto” runs world record on the fastest circuit in the world:

We congratulate Dennis Kimetto!
The 30-year-old Kenyan burst in a world record time of 2:02:57 hours to the finish at the Brandenburger Tor and thus achieved the first man for a time under 2:03 on the classic 42.195 km distance. It is already the tenth world record in the history of Germany's largest marathons in Berlin.

There was a year world record for women too: The Ethiopian Tsegaye Tirfi won in 2:20:18 hours and undercut the previous top time of the London Marathon champion Edna Kiplagat (Kenya) by three seconds.

The start, also have included 6298 inline skaters, 1061 children and 18 wheelchairs!

With ideal weather conditions, clear skies, almost no wind and temperatures between 15 and 18 degrees Celsius, the field of runners went out on the track. 40,004 runners had registered.

Berlin-Marathon On the roadsides hundreds of thousands of people cheered the runners from 119: everywhere were music bands and drummers to boost the runners.
Fortunately, the use in the emergency department was rather small - most runners were well prepared and 29 000 were more or less quickly to the finish. But anyone who creates this route is a hero!
